I was gonna be America's boyfriend, but I was born ugly and can't sing. I can pass gas though so I guess not all is lost.
Kind of a corny flick and a bit out of date, but in 1937 this is the kind of stuff the kids ate up. A shill with utterly no talent that they sold as wonderful..Justine Bieber anyone?
Actually this Tony Paige character had talent unlike the current shill they're trying to pawn off on kids.

Tony is a "regular fellow" who despises the phoniness of show business. When an actress sets her sights on him, his sponsor takes out a $300,000 no-marriage insurance policy. Tony challenges the policy but changes his mind.
Some people like these kinds of comedies, this one in all right I guess. At least I like the actors.
